Business Week

With an audited circulation of 970,000, Business Week magazine generates huge amounts of content: photos, graphics, and text stored in databases.

The magazine's creative department must track these digital assets from layout to publication. Rights, permissions and invoicing for each asset requires close tracking to avoid unnecessary legal issues.

DeepBridge and Business Week have a long and fruitful working relationship that includes integration and support for a worldwide QPS rollout representing more than 150 seats. Business Week turned to DeepBridge to implement a new "contact management" system, one that would support new database functions, such as tracking photo copyrights and automatically generating vendor invoices upon reuse.

After completing an exhaustive documentation process of software code-which had never been done for Business Week's photo library-DeepBridge engineers made significant modifications. The enhanced database automatically generates new contracts with all vendors upon use of copyrighted images.

The database is tied to other critical business systems to ensure that new contracts reflect latest price structures. The new functionality required significant changes to Business Week's workflow to ensure the right people get the right contract information at the right time.

DeepBridge engineers modified a system critical for Business Week's art and photo departments, and supported new business requirements without incurring significant transition downtime.
